Atlanta Weed and Seed coordinates federal, state, and municipal and community resources to co-design neighborhood action plans that reduce crime, monitor juveniles, keep students in schools, revitalize neighborhoods and build community capacity.

Description

Weed and Seed is a community-based, multi-agency comprehensive approach to law enforcement, crime prevention, and neighborhood revitalization. This initiative brings together people and resources to prevent and control crime. The stragtegy takes a two-pronged approach: law enforcement agencies and prosecutors Weeding Out criminal activities and Seeding In human services to the area encompassing prevention, intervention, treatment, and neighborhood revitalization.
