Mission Statement

We envision a society in which women's visual art is integral to the cultural mainstream and permanently recorded in history.

WSW's mission is to operate and maintain an artists' workspace that encourages the voice and vision of individual women artists;

To provide professional opportunities for artists;

To promote programs designed to stimulate public involvement, awareness, and support for the visual arts.

Description

Women's Studio Workshop:

Publishes Artists' Books--the largest program in the nation.

Provides the only visual artists' residency solely for women.

Grows sustainable fibers for hand papermaking on our ArtFarm.

Gives kids and teachers studio experience in our Hands-On Art program.

Teaches advanced skills to artists in our Summer Arts Institute.
