In 1995 The Sara Anne Wood Rescue Center became the Mohawk Valley office of the NY Branch of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Located in Utica, NY, this office is charged with targeted poster distribution. It is capable of saturating specific, targeted areas of the country with posters of missing children based on investigative leads. Also offered at the Mohawk Valley Center are prevention education programs for parents, children, civic groups and professionals.
