Mission Statement

Safety. Security. Marine environmental protection. Humanitarian assistance. Homeland security. Service to others--in our communities, across the nation, and around the world. These are the things that Coast Guard Auxiliarists put first every day, the missions that these uniformed civilian volunteers have tirelessly performed for over seventy years.

Description

Flotilla 25-12 is the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary's local presence in Arlington and the surrounding areas of Northern Virginia. Our operations and people are focused on maritime safety, security, and environmental protection from the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers surrounding Washington, DC, and running westward along the Interstate 66 and Dulles Airport corridors.

To join the USCG Auxiliary, volunteers must be U.S citizens, age 17 or older, and must pass a background investigation.
