The National Kidney Foundation for the past 60 years has focused upon education, advocacy, training, research and prevention testing to identify those with kidney disease early. The programs and servcies provided by the National Kidney Foundation provide national expertise to local providers and consumers in the form of best practices, education and latest clinical guidelines for treatment of kidney disease. NKF also works to end the wait for any and all organ donations and sponsors the Transplant Games for all organ donor and recepients nationally. In addition, NKF is working globally to improve guidelines for treatment of those with chronic kidney disease and creating standardized guidelines. The fund raising efforts of NKF provide 80% of every dollar to programming activities.
