Description
Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is the lead community-based care agency for North Central Florida. We work with at-risk families to prevent child abuse and to decrease the risk of children entering the out-of-home care system. By collaborating with other local service organizations, we are able to connect families with needed resources and help them grow stronger as a result.
We operate four community based resource centers, which serve close to 40,000 patrons annually, to help fill service gaps across Alachua, Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy counties. Volunteering at one of our Resource Centers is about more than just lending a hand.
Serving here means offering real-life change to individuals who are ready to improve their lives and the lives of their families. You’re not just tutoring afterschool, you’re helping students reach graduation and college. You’re not just answering phones, you’re connecting parents to critical resources. You’re helping to create a safe environment for families to receive support and develop resiliency. We’re looking for volunteers and interns who are consistent and committed to serving each week, during normal business hours, for at least one semester. Visit http://www.pfsf.org/resource-centers/volunteer/ to see how you can make a difference in your community.
