Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The Tibetan Refugee Health Care Project is a two-phase project to bring adequate health care to the refugees living in Mundgod,South India. The first phase of the project requires four volunteers to spend one year providing health care and education, specifically focused on tuberculosis,to approximately 6,000 monks living in two separate monasteries,Drepung Loseling and Ganden. After a year, these monks,as leaders of the community, will be part of the second phase, and expand our program to the general community of approximately 8,000 other Tibetan refugees.
The Charleston Tibetan Society is run by monks from Tibet to teach the basics of Tibetan Buddhism and provides community support through volunteers.
