Mission Statement

Environmental Forum of Marin (EFM) Promotes a
Sustainable World through Environmental Education

Description

EFM conducts two adult education programs and public events that cover environmental issues, sustainability, and advocacy.

Environmental Forum Seminar Series offers Saturday morning classes that run from January to March provided insight to environmental issues facing Marin and organizations who work to address these issues. Designed for busy working professionals and public agency staff who want exposure to the full range of community sustainability topics or folks who just want to focus on a single class topic such as water, energy, climate change, waste and environmental health.

Environmental Forum offers a Master Class that gets adult students conversant in the full the environmental science and full range of Marin’s sustainability issues. The program includes classroom presentations by subject matter experts, field trips to the really cool parts of Marin, advocacy training that prepares you for presenting your ideas in public forums, and culminates in with student sustainability projects. Classes and field trip sessions are held on Tuesday, 8:30-3:00 and run through December. Student project work continues through March.

Additionally, membership in Environmental Forum gives you access to our special events where we host presentations and discussion of current topics on sustainability and the environment.
