Foundation for Monte del Sol Charter School

Description

The Foundation for Monte del Sol Charter School provides funds to the school to support the Edible Kitchen Garden (EKG), the chef and kitchen helpers who prepare organic lunches for the students, the garden coordinator, and other special programs like mentorship and art. We do this by having fundraising events and sending semi-annual appeal letters to the community. In the past we have provided funds to upgrade the kitchen to so that culinary sciences classes could be taught there. We have also been called upon to help pay for emergency plumbing repairs and other facilities needs.
