Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote community development in Ollantaytambo, Cusco, Peru. We run programs in health and education; we work to preserve and foster Quechua culture, and we promote a more sustainable tourism that benefits local families.

Description

Awamaki U.S. is a small community-development NGO based in Ollantaytambo, Cusco, Peru. We are new and growing! Currently our programs focus in four areas: Health, Education, Cultural Preservation and Sustainable Tourism. We place volunteers in all these areas. Our volunteer program is essential to our operations and the driving force behind our growth and success.
