Mission Statement

Pin-Ups For Vets' mission is to raise funds to improve Veterans' health care programs through the sale of items on its website and at live events, to donate those funds to hospitals in need of equipment and program expansion, to improve the quality of life for ill and injured Veterans by delivering donated appreciation gifts during personal hospital visits, to promote volunteerism at local Veterans Hospitals, and to encourage citizens to donate gifts to boost morale for deployed service members.

Pin-Ups For Vets' executive director and creator of the Veterans' calendar fundraiser project has volunteered her time and worked tirelessly over the last 12 years to take this project from a little-known fundraiser to the nationally acclaimed and award-winning organization that it is today. Her creativity and passion in developing such a unique project has inspired people around the country to create their own versions of this calendar fundraiser project to improve Veterans' healthcare in their local VA hospitals. With a BA Degree and background in film, theater, and television from UCLA, the director pulled together photographers, a graphic designer, hair and make-up stylists, photo editors, T-shirt designers, and a website designer and convinced them to donate their talents to create a nostalgic pin-up calendar and website, drawing inspiration from the WWII style pin-up calendars that boosted morale for our troops in the 1940's.
