Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide a safe and wonderful place for dogs to run, play and swim in Central Ohio!

Description

The Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park is an all volunteer 501c3 charity that built, maintains and financially
supports the Alum Creek Dog Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. The Alum Creek Dog Park is 4-acre free public dog park at the Alum Creek State Park. It includes fully fenced areas for small & large dogs and a dog beach at the lake.

The dog park recently won 2 awards - a Superior Award from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and Dog Fancy Magazine voted it as having the best dog beach in a dog Park. The Alum Creek Dog Park was built by the Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park, beginning in 2004 with a grand opening in June 2006.

The Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park provides financial support for routine care/improvements. Most importantly, it is our wonderful group of volunteers that provide critical maintenance of the park.

If you have an hour or two to help us with ongoing maintenance work, park clean up, mulching, lawn mowing, or general help on Saturday mornings, please let us know.

Thank you in advance for supporting your local dog park!
