The mission of ReNEW Schools is to turnaround low performing schools in New Orleans into open-enrollment public charter schools that offer free, high quality, college preparatory programming.

Description

ReNEW Charter Management Organization is taking over two low performing schools in 2010-2011. The new schools will be SciTech Academy and Batiste Cultural Arts Academy. Both are located in the Irish Channel Neighborhood in New Orleans. Both schools are housed within sites that were built in the early 1900's and need renovations and cosmetic improvements to make them more inviting.
