Mission Statement
I Care Grace International acts as a Platform Company, by linking health professionals, Faith based organizations, churches, hospitals and individual missionaries to communities in the developing countries. We provide opportunities the opportunity to organize and set up mission trips, as well as the leadership, structure and materials. As a platform, ICGI acts as an intermediary and site of organization for medical missions
• Matching interests, abilities, and time frame of the mission
• Providing orientation and spiritual resources before and during the mission
• Arranging international travel schedules and airline ticketing
• Assisting with necessary visas, permits, and other field requirements
• Coordinating field housing and transportation
• Assisting volunteers in handling financial details related to overseas service
Description
Our mission is simply touching the world with love through medical missions.
We are a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote long term health care in rural communities by organizing medical missions internationally to reach and assist disadvantaged people through community outreach in three specific areas:
Health education,
Spiritual education
Medical Treatment
Our primary focus is on empowering the community through education. I Care Grace International (ICGI) will make every effort to provide a lasting impact on the individuals we train and in the communities which we support. As we enter each mission our strategy is to focus on ongoing health education mainly disease prevention. Outreach will be primarily based around a continuing educational training program directed toward local health professionals and community leaders. We aim to teach those who will become local teachers to aid in the dissemination of information on disease prevention and general healthy practices as well as basic treatments and referral services.
Our secondary focus revolves around our connection with the faith based organization. As our research indicates, most of our clients have trust and faith in the Christian religion. We will work with local churches to incorporate not only spiritual care and individual learning but leadership education series for the pastors, community leaders and rising youth leaders in the community. In this manner we provide a practical application of faith to their way of living while giving them strong tools to use within the church and their communities.
Our tertiary focus is dedicated to actual primary care on site by our staff of doctors and nurses. We will be working as a team to provide care to those in need at their local sites. Most hospitals are not accessible to those in smaller villages and we wish to make these basic services available
The primary responsibilities of the organization is creating, planning and coordinating the logistics of missions. This includes choosing the site, setup, accommodations, as well as arrange for equipment and medicine delivery and usage, etc. All members on both sides are just responsible for attending training and completing the on ground work. The American medical and missionary volunteers will be required to attend a few training and coordination sessions prior to the mission planned by ICGI leadership.
ICGI will build and database a network of professionals on both sides of the platform. This will include medical, missionary and community leaders that have expressed interest in the program. ICGI retains responsibility in the development of all educational materials and training programs to be distributed and taught to local leaders on site. This will include both the materials for the health prevention and treatment courses as well as the courses on community leadership and faith.
A large part of this organization’s main responsibilities will be to spread the word of our cause garnering support for health education. Part of this is acting as the point of contact for all fundraising, donations and sponsorship efforts. Fundraising efforts are done individually and also corporately. We will provide resources to help with fundraising efforts for all missions.
Once the mission is complete ICGI will provide follow up attention, supplies and support.
