Description

The Delaware County Historical Society, founded in 1895, provides an Historical Research Library that provides genealogy services, a successful educational program called Passport to History, the first Map of Historic Delaware County, and an adult Lecture Series. Also, this past year the Society was fortunate enough to be able to obtain two buildings - its first space to call its own in 107 years! The first location is Greenbank Farm in Broomall, Pennsylvania, which will host the Society's Education and Family Outreach Center. The second location is the old Bank Building in Chester, Pennsylvania, which will host the Society's Historical Museum and Archive and Reproduction Center. This year and well into next year, the Society will be planning, fundraising, and working within the community to develop both its new locations.
