Mission Statement

Cofounded in 1994 by Midland, Michigan arts educators Linda Z. Smith and Cynthia Keefe, the mission of the nonprofit organization is to create an environment for people of all ages to experience the creative process through playshops, speakers and outreach programs. Classes that include creative writing, dance, art and storytelling are integrated with classes in tai ji, yoga and meditation to enhance the development of physical, psychological and spiritual wellness. What makes Creative spirit Center unique is it provides a nurturing place where access to self-expression, knowledge and an awakening of personal self-confidence are the highest priorities.
