STARS is a wonderful organization that is dedicated to the care and welfare of the animals. They have dedicated, caring volunteers who's goal is care and compassion. I have been a volunteer for 2 years now and found it to be VERY rewarding. I am so glad that I found STARS!

I have been a Volunteer for STARS for over 2 years now. This was my first time volunteering at an animal shelter. The volunteers and ACO's are awesome. I have learned so much from all of them. It is such a great feeling working with the animals to get them adopted. They all deserve a forever home and everyone at STARS works hard to get that done! Besides working with the animals there are monthly fundraisers to help the animals. We have candy sales, flower sales, etc. and our biggest is the Fall Festival which is a great success every year and everyone works really hard to pull it off and it is a lot of fun....

I am a new volunteer, still getting my training! But, what I've seen thus far (I've volunteered at other shelters)and the people I've met (volunteers & ACO's), I LOVE IT!! Everyone is caring and passionate about helping the animals. They know what they are doing, very organized and have such a love for the animals. It's ALL about the animals! Can't wait to do more!!!

I've been with STARS for about 6 years. This truly is a great group of individuals who all have the same goal in mind, helping the homeless and inhumanely treated animals of the community. But why do I love it so much? I can't describe the feeling you will get as a volunteer to see an animal whom everyone has skipped over for months and months who FINALLY gets their chance and is adopted. It is truly a bitter sweet moment and a flood of tears will most definitely pour out of your eyes but they're tears of true happiness.
