SAFFT was founded by actual foster parents in Forsyth County Georgia. After several years of first hand experiences as caregivers for neglected and abused children, the founders determined a strong support model was required for long term success. SAFFT has a strong belief that BUILDING and MAINTAINING a supportive foundation for all caregivers improves the overall lives of thechildren in care.

SAFFT believes that every child in state custody should be treated just as well as biological children. Providing additional funding that the state cannot provide will ensure that the children have a well rounded treatment during this traumatic and critical time in their life. Foster and Adoptive homes that take care of traumatized children face a lot more issues and uphill obstacles than the normal parent does when dealing with their own. It truly takes patience and experience to appropriately raise these children.

Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together, Inc. is a community based organization of caregivers that supports the needs of Georgia ' s foster and adoptive children by:

• Providing Foster and Adoptive families or caregivers with a support model by group meeting, education, information and training on the needs of abused and neglected children and a reliable network of emergency and respite care so that we may help retain the homes.
• Meeting the needs of the Foster and Adoptive Children by raising funds and partnering with individuals, state and local government agencies, community groups, and other non-profit organizations
• Maintains an outreach program that actively informs and recruits Foster and Adoptive Families
• Provide a Family Visitation & Community Center that promotes safe and healthy visitation between children in foster care and their family member/s. Our facility also provides support group meeting space for our members, parenting classes, tutoring, mentoring, and any other necessary services that our children require. This center is their home away from home. It is their safe SAFFT place.
