Employment Connection, was founded in 1977 to decrease recidivism among ex-offenders in the St. Louis region through work readiness and job placement services, extensive supportive services and literacy offerings.
Since that time it's efforts have expanded to help welfare recipients, high-school & college dropouts, ex-substance abusers, veterans survivors of domestic violence and
New Americans. Employment Connection specializes in helping the "hard to employ" become self-sufficient and productive.
This is an agency that believes in dignity, self empowerment, second chances and the potential for success inherent in everyone.
Employment Connection makes about 1,700 job placements a year. The agency has helped over 30,000 peopel find
work since it opened its doors.
