Founded in 1893, Onward Neighborhood House mission is to empower families and individuals in need to achieve their full potential in a community-based setting through participant-driven educational, recreational and social service programs.
Programming includes: Early Childhood Education which is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a School Age Program, a Partnership Program, a Family Support Program which includes a food pantry, a Community Computer Resource Center that provides training and free access to technology and an Adult Education Program that offers English as a Second Language and GED classes. We also provide other social services and offer resources connecting clients to job training, educational programs and employment opportunities.
