Now, more than ever, our nation needs to shift to renewable energy resources. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is a disaster of epic proportions. We can avoid situations like these by shifting towards clean, safe, and renewable energy. The Alliance for Affordable Energy advocates for green energy policies to ensure a more sustainable, stable energy future.

I've been volunteering with the Alliance for Affordable Energy as an AmeriCorps/Vista volunteer for the past five months. It's a great opportunity for me to gain more skills and to work for a non-profit. I believe this is a great place for anyone interested in the environment and energy policies and interested in working towards change. Come volunteer your time and energy working towards fair, affordable energy policies in New Orleans, Louisiana and the nation. The building we have our office at is an amazing community building called the New Orleans Healing Center. Come Check it out.
