Mission Statement
Interfaith Outreach Home (IOH) provides safe, secure, and nurturing transitional housing at its Doraville facility for homeless families (married couples) with children. Families admitted to the IOH program must want to become, and be capable of becoming, financially independent and self-sufficient. Through comprehensive counseling and training, IOH helps families reach that goal.
Description
Interfaith Outreach Home is a ten-apartment transitional-housing facility where homeless families with children live and receive support services while they become economically self-sufficient. IOH provides counseling and training that helps residents improve their life skills; enhance career prospects; and understand and overcome the issues that led to their homelessness. Parents who enter the IOH program are expected to be committed to working toward the goal of becoming self-sufficient. The average length of a family resides at IOH is nine to twelve months.
