Mission Statement

Created in 1990, the Wayne Alliance is dedicated to the promotion of safe, healthy and responsible lifestyles through: Prevention Intervention Education Comprised of volunteers from the community, the Alliance seeks to identify alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) problems, unify the community and become a force for change.

Description

Serving Wayne residents for over 20 years, the Alliance continues to act as the official coordinating body for planning, awareness and prevention education efforts on abuse of ATOD. Working toward a drug, alcohol and tobacco free community is our goal.

No one is comfortable learning about the troubles that plague their community. At the same time it is unrealistic to expect most children to get through adolescence without ever encountering drugs. However, effective communication and education can help a town to overcome the most challenging problems.

Parents are powerful.

You can make a difference.

Talk to your child about alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

Wayne Parents Care Meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm in the Health Department.
