The mission of the START Children's Center of Rensselaer County is to reduce the trauma to child victims and non-offending family members in the aftermath of abuse disclosure through the provision of a child-friendly environment designed to enhance the investigation, prosecution, and long-term treatment processes.

START Children's Center provides coordinated and comprehensive services in a child-friendly environment. We provide: Information, Referrals, Advocacy, Crisis Intervention, Counseling, Case Management, Education, Community Awareness,and Team Interviewing
