Mission Statement

Save Our Sonoran, Inc. (SOS) is dedicated to the preservation of Arizona's beautiful sonoran Desert, its inhabitants and the surrounding communities.

Description

SOS began as a neighborhood group, attempting to save a 608-acre parcel of pristine Sonoran Desert land, known as Section 16, from the Arizona State Land Department auction block. During our legal challenges, we discovered that we were not alone in our fight. We are working towards educating more members of the community and uniting with other groups, throughout the state, to have a larger voice in how our state trust lands are sold and for what purpose.
