The Association strives to advance the BGCA mission and programs in local communities, and to provide support and development
Promotes and administers the Washington State "Youth of the Year" program
Promotes and administers the Governors "Community Service Scholarship" awarded annually at the Governors Youth of the Year reception
Offer BGCA programs at over 130 separate locations, including Clubhouses, Native lands, public housing, school sites, and community centers
Serve over 75,000 Washington state youth in grades K - 12 through annual membership and benefits an additional 62,000 youth through outreach services in an additional 100 outreach sites
Offer dedicated youth facilities that are open daily, staffed by professionals, and provide proven programs that provide positive outcomes
Clubs and programs are available and affordable to all youth; average annual membership cost to join the Boys & Girls Club is about $20 per year, with scholarships available. The total cost to serve each child is approximately $500 per year, hence the need for fundraising, grant development, and contracts for service on local, county and state levels
