Mission Statement

Home to the Draft Horse Sanctuary. United In Light rescues the mature draft horse breeds from an untimely death and reintroduces them to the human and horse heart bonding. The horses here live free to roam the pastures for the last years of their lives.

Description

Fully funded by the public, United In Light has been serving mature draft horse breeds and the public since 2003. Due to the UIL being an exclusive only facility for mature draft horse breeds, the horse have come from all over the nation. Horses have been rescued from MD, PA, TN, CA, AZ, UT, OR, NY and Canada. Due to the care and maintenance of draft horse breeds, UIL remains to be a longstanding nonprofit as many have had to close their doors due to costs. We are fortunate to have the many supporters that love what we do. Visitors are welcome. We incorporate many workshops on the bonding experiences with the horses here as well as education on horse care.
