Description
Health Council of Southeast Florida is one of 11 local Health Planning Councils incorporated in the State of Florida by State Statute.
Many of our primary tasks relate to the collection of data relating to the use of health care facilities in the five county regioin we serve. We assess health facility occupancy, help determine the best use of private and publice funding relating to the provision of health services and support activities.
In addition to the many health planning tasks, Health Council of Southeast Florida manages a number of programs that directly serve residents in need of HIV health services and support activities. Specifically we administrate several state and federal grants that provide primary and specialty care to HIV+ individuals by contracting with health care providers near consumer's homes.
