Positive Directions

Mission Statement

Positive Directions is a grassroots, 501 (c) 3, not for profit, peer led human service organization. Our mission is to improve the quality and longevity of life for people living with HIV and AIDS. We do this by providing information, support, counseling, advocacy, and access to community resources, for all HIV positive people regardless of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, or stage of infection. We extend these services to ones network of family, partners, friends, and caregivers. In addition, we actively monitor advances in medical treatment, and seek to effect changes in policies and the prevailing social climate to meet the needs of people affected by and infected with HIV. We maintain a non-clinical but professional atmosphere. Consumers are supported with respect, dignity, and confidentiality while learning to stay healthy.
