Mission Statement

The mission of the March of Dimes is to: Improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.

Description

Volunteer service is the cornerstone of success for all March of Dimes actvities. The organization truly believes that youth volunteers are critical to continued future success. Today's young people are tomorrow's business and community leaders and potentially our future staff, volunteers and donors. As we continue to develop the younger members of our volunteer team we realize that they are extremely productive and skilled individuals today. Our youth volunteers have proven to be articulate spokepersons, good fund-raisers, and excellent public advocates dedicated to our mission of saving babies' lives. It is only to our advantage to recruit, train and mentor high school and college volunteers in our communities.
