Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

South Florida Siberian Husky Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and fostering abandoned and abused Siberian Huskies and placing them in permanent loving homes. The rescue gives medical attention to injured and sick animals, neuter/spays as necessary and educates the public about animal care. Funds are neded for food, emergency medical care/supplies, expansion of the adoption and education programs and construction of a sanctuary for those Huskies that are no longer wanted.
We rescue cases out of abusive/neglect situations, animal control, humane society, and owner surrenders - provide medical assistance as necessary and place the dogs in our foster home network til permanent caring homes are found.
The 2015 Dog Bowl was a wonderful experience for my first time volunteering in a while. The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed helping out in the tent. The coordinator, Phil, did a great job informing the volunteers and passersby about the importance of supporting rescue organizations. I was glad to be able to give my time helping out different rescue organizations. It was great to see so many beautiful and playful Huskies out there today. It was totally worth picking off all of the dog hair on my jacket. :)
