Mission Statement
The World Affairs Challenge is dedicated to instilling global leadership skills, education, and a passion for sustainable global relations in middle and high school students.
Description
The Center for Teaching International Relations is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose signature program is the World Affairs Challenge, an educational nonprofit supporting young leaders who create and take action on their own solutions to global issues. The World Affairs Challenge: Young Minds. Bold Solutions.
Student teams are provided with resources to connect our annual theme to a problem that they are passionate about. Teams then collaborate with experts to develop a solution that addresses their chosen problem, and design a way to take real action toward solving it. These Community Action Projects are showcased at the spring World Affairs Challenge competition in Denver, where the teams creatively present their work with the chance to win funding toward their project and proposed solution.
