Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Teaching International Relations (CTIR) is to develop tomorrow's global leaders. We do this through engaging middle and high school students in year-round global studies through our signature World Affairs Challenge program (WAC).

Description

After 40 years as an outreach arm of the University of Denver, the Center for Teaching International Relations is now a stand-alone 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global education.

The World Affairs Challenge (WAC), CTIR's key program, was created more than 25 years ago to help middle and high school students to become aware, understand and engage in global topics with the goal to take action that will make a difference in their community or the world at large. Year-long global study culminates in a 3-part event each Spring designed to challenge students to research global topics, study current events, create engaging presentations, and develop critical thinking, leadership, and teambuilding skills.
