Mission Statement

The Mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need, through the gifts of new, homemade, washable blankets and afghans, lovingly crafted by volunteer blanketeers.

Description

Carroll County is a chapter of the national Project Linus and is 100% non-profit, 100% volunteer. Our purpose being to provide a "handmade hug" in the way of a handmade security blanket for children in need in our county. These blankets are given to the children to keep.

When my daughter was small, she had to go to the hospital. While at the hospital, she received a blanket from Project Linus. I was so scared and seeing her sleep peacefully with the blanket made me feel less scared. The blankets are of superior quality and I applaud the people who made the blankets.
