Mission Statement
God's Gift, Inc., is a South Florida based Non-Profit Organization, founded in 2009, whose mission is providing a healthy environment for women and girls ages 7-17, promoting a healthy lifestyle by providing mentoring programs, weekend retreats, career development and training, college preparation, and most importantly helping women and girls to recognize their self worth. God's Gift, Inc. caters to low income and inner city women and girls in low poverty areas throughout Broward County, Florida.
Description
The Butterfly Project
Based on the metamorphosis stage of butterflies, The Butterfly Project is a program developed to help women and girls grow from unemployment and uninformed citizens to full/part time employees and college ready applicants. The Butterfly Project is a job development and career preparation program, that assist women and girls in the following areas: resume' writing, proper procedures for filling out job applications, proper dress attire for an interview, filling out college applications and applying for college and financial aid.
Morning Mocha
Morning Mocha is a series of monthly etiquette trainings and seminars for women and girls within the inner-cities of Broward County. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to: Dating Etiquette, Telephone Etiquette, Business Etiquette, etc.
"Women of Self Worth" Scholarship Program
The "Women of Self Worth" Scholarship is for female graduating high school seniors, who reside in Broward County, and attend one of the following high schools: Dillard, Boyd Anderson, Blanche Ely, Fort Lauderdale, South Plantation, Plantation, Piper, and Stranahan High. This scholarship is open to African American females planning to attend a 2yr/4yr college or university in the State of Florida. ( scholarships@godsgiftinc.org)
