Mission Statement

Alzheimer's Action Foundation is helping individuals and their families affected by Alzheimer's Disease by playing a new and unique role in the understanding, reduction and ultimate elimination of this devastating condition.

Our approach is aggressive, and we are moving to get available technology and education solutions into the hands of families - now - to accomplish prevention, more efficient care, and relieved pressure on care givers.


Description

Our mission falls into follwoing 2 categories:

  • Pragmatic Approaches. We utilize an aggressive combination of health care, education, finance, and emerging technologies to make an immediate difference in the lives of current and future Alzheimer's patients.
  • Healthcare Disparities. We also attack existing lifestyle and access limitations imposed on disadvantaged groups early in life, which are already contributing to the current population of Alzheimer's patients. This aspect of our work is guided and motivated by the reality that simply correcting healthcare disparities based on race, ethnicity, or low income can dwarf the proposed economic impact of some healthcare reform plans.
