Mission Statement

The mission of KIPP Bay Area Schools is to operate high-achieving public schools in educationally underserved communities, developing in our students the knowledge, skills, and character essential to thrive in college, shape their futures, and positively impact the world.

Description

In the San Francisco Bay Area, seven KIPP middle schools and three KIPP high schools are closing the achievement gap between low-income students and their more advantaged peers. These tuition-free, college-preparatory schools are located in under-served neighborhoods in San Francisco, Oakland, San Lorenzo, and San Jose. Of the 3,000 students we serve, 95 percent are students of color and 75 percent qualify for the free and reduced lunch program.

KIPP Bay Area Schools relies on the talents and generosity of volunteers at our ten schools and at our Regional Support Office. Please refer to available opportunities listed, or contact us with any questions about how to get involved.
