Mission Statement

The Great Basin Institute is an interdisciplinary field studies program that promotes environmental education, research, and conservation throughout Nevada. The Great Basin Institute advances ecological literacy and direct land conservation through direct-service initiatives such as wilderness surveys, biological monitoring and watershed restoration.

Description

Through a unique collaborative agreement with Washoe County Parks, The Great Basin Institute will be offering educational programs out of the Galena Creek Visitor Center.
