Mission Statement

The mission of Crisis Connection is to ensure 24-hour access to crisis intervention and suicide prevention services through a partnership of skilled volunteers and paid staff. Our goal is to help people at risk of harming themselves or others reach a place of emotional and physical safety and then connect them with longer term care.

Description

Crisis Connection is a part of the Canvas Health's system of behavioral healthcare. Canvas Health is a nonprofit, mental health/chemical health agency. Crisis Connectioin provides provides 24-hour crisis counseling by telephone and text message. This service is free to callers and texters, confidential and available 365 days of the year. Crisis Connection counselors answering the crisis phone and text lines are a partnership of skilled mental health professionals and supervised trained volunteers. They respond to callers and texters in nonjudgmental and positive ways. Currently we respond to more than 50,000 calls and texts a year.
