Description

IRS trained volunteers prepare basic income tax returns FREE of charge at sites for individuals of low to moderate income, individuals with disabilities, non-English speaking taxpayers and the elderly. Many of these sites offer IRS e-filing FREE of charge to the taxpayers. Tax preparation training including both federal and state forms and could also include electronicnic filing training. Volunteers are generally needed between February 1 and April 15 of each year. This year we will offer fourty hours of training with some classes starting in October. We will continue until the end of January with classes both during the day and Saturdays. Volunteers with bi-lingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus! A minumim of 20 hours committment (total) during the months of February, March and April for volunteers is required.
