Mission Statement

Indianapolis Weed & Seed an initiative funded by the Department of Justice has designated 6 sites within the Indianapolis Area. Using stratagies to rid neighborhoods of crime and blight and seeding in restorative programs and projects.

Description

Community residents are empowered to build relationships with the police departemet and to weed the neighborhoods of drug houses, prostitution, domestic violence. They then seed their communities with positive social programs, educational and recreational. They also work with the CDC's in the economic development plans for their communities.
