Mission Statement

The Ely Chapman Education Foundation is a non-profit educational organization, operated to provide educational enrichment programs for the community at large, including hand-on learning and job training for groups with diverse backgrounds. The foundation provides individualized experienced-based, educational programs emphasizing applied learning in math, science, art, history and ecology utilizing the most current technology in a non-traditional classroom setting. Special emphasis is placed on the unique history and culture of Ohio's southeast Appalachian region.

Description

Ely Chapman Education Foundation Center for Arts & Sciences is located in an old school building and houses programs aimed at service-learning experiences for all youth, with special focus on at-risk and under-served youth, that enhance youth education, building their arts and sciences experience through hands-on activities.
