Ecofficiency is an ethic of consumer responsibility, balancing economy, ecology, and equity.

Ecofficiency.org promotes a grassroots movement, addressing the interwoven impacts we all have on society and the environment.

Description

Ecofficiency addresses social and environmental issues at their root, by encouraging positive consumer impacts - globally and locally. This can be most effectively accomplished at the grassroots level; as we incorporate ethically sound consumer demands into our personal lives, businesses and governments will respond on a larger scale.

To spread our message, we present educational programs in schools, produce entertaining community events, and work directly with businesses. We help consumers use market forces and the power of consumer demand to influence business and government to adopt more socially and environmentally responsible practices. Our movement is non-political, striving to find common ground between people from all walks of life.
