Mission Statement

The Junior League of Summit (JLS) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Description

Since its inception, the JLS has been assessing community need, creating solutions and training women as volunteers to make our local communities healthier, more vital places to live. We have returned more than $3 million to our communities in the form of grants, projects, programs and scholarships and contributed more than one million hours of community service. These funds are raised almost exclusively through our Summit-based Thrift Shop. With our newest initiative, "Connecting and Protecting Generation TXT," we are educating our community, parents, kids and educators about safe and inventive uses of technology.
