Mission Statement

Exodus Refugee Immigration works with refugees -- worldwide victims of persecution, injustice and war -- to establish self-sufficient lives in freedom and sanctuary for themselves and their families in Indiana.

Description

Exodus is a independent, non-sectarian 501(c)(3) refugee resettlement agency based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Exodus has a long history of welcoming refugees and asylees representing many countries, cultures, languages, faiths and political opinions. The board of directors, staff and volunteers are also made up of a diverse group of people who are passionate about welcoming newcomers and being a part of a local humanitarian effort to aid in securing the dignity and human rights of persons from around the globe.

Exodus is a great organization that really strives to help refugees reach self-sufficiency once resettled in Indianapolis. Helping teach English to newcomers has shown me how hard it can be to get by in a new country and how much an organization like Exodus providing a warm welcome can mean.
