Mentoring through Compeer has been very valuable for me, and for my mentee and her family. Compeer Rochester staff have always been wonderful and supportive. Mentoring is not always easy, to say the least, but having done this now for 4 years, it is definitely time well spent. Mentoring itself truly doesn't take that much time but does a world of good for all involved. I always appreciated that Compeer works with people who are working to improve their mental health and wellbeing, as I feel having a friend in that light is crucial. The organization provides discounts for things to do with your mentee, as well as opportunities for events hosted/sponsored by Compeer. They are always looking to improve as an organization, and I'm glad to have shared this experience with them!
