Description

The Irvine Animal Care Center (IACC) is a pro-humane, municipal animal shelter that continually strives to strengthen the human-animal bond and improve the welfare of animals by promoting their humane care and treatment. The shelter’s five acre, park-like facility cares for more than 4,500 homeless, neglected and abused animals every year.

The IACC strives to provide a safe and stress free environment for shelter pets temporarily in its care. All animals receive veterinary care, high-quality food, soft bedding and daily socialization. In 2007, the IACC was presented the Shelter of the Year award by Dogs in Review and Bow Tie, Inc. The Shelter was selected for their innovative programs and disaster relief efforts during that year’s Southern California wildfires. They continue to take progressive strides in the field of animal welfare.

Just the best shelter.. we have dogs, cats, rabbits, sometimes birds, guinea pigs, hamsters.. The training is excellent, the volunteer opportunities are varied and relevant and needed, the shelter environment is top notch. We have an active third chance program where we pull adoptable dogs and cats about to run out of time and bring them to IACC. We interact with other rescues and shelters, have several big adoption events each year... Come take a look!!
