Mission Statement

Flotilla 21 is part of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the uniformed volunteer componet of the Coast Guard. Flotilla 21 focues on the 4 cornerstones of the Auxiliary - Recreatonal Boating Safety, Support for the Coast Guard, Member Support, and Fellowship.

Our motto is "Small But Fiesty"

Description

We are actively engaged in operations (using our own boats in support of the Coast Guard including search and rescue, environmental issues including spill response and hazard monitoring, and maritine observation), direct coast guard support (working at District and Sector offices and Stations), teaching boating safety classes throughout the Seattle metro area, doing vessel safety checks and other programs. The Coast Guard Auxiliary does not particpate in the Coast Guard's law enforcement or military activies but concentrates on serving the recreational boating community (as well as the Coast Guard as a whole).
