Description

The Kenosha Junior Woman’s Club (KJWC) is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1929 when the daughters of Kenosha Woman’s Club members decided that they, too, wanted a club to enrich the lives of the community. The Woman’s Club helped these young women start a club they initially named "Our Daughters". After a few years, the name was changed to the KJWC. Over the years, the KJWC has contributed vastly to the community. In 1973, our club initiated Mobile Meals, recruiting and training volunteer drivers - 'Meals on Wheels’ is now run by the Kenosha Area Family & Aging Services. In 1975, KJWC started Citizenship awards for children at the elementary school level and Scholarship Awards for local graduating high school seniors. These and many other community projects continue to thrive and improve the quality of life for many.
