After being a single homeless mother of two teenagers I have managed to pick myself and family back up and live again. It was with the help of volunteers and a shelter that I have been able to accomplish this. I learned so much, but, most importantly, I learned that my kids and I are the faces of homeless in the U.S., certainly not what we had perceived homeless people to look like before it happened to us.
