MWVCAA is a grantee for six non-profit programs. Community Action Head Start is a preschool program which serves 560 children, ages 3 and 4, from families of low income. Nutrition First provides nutritional support services to child care centers. Child Care Information Service provides referrals to individuals seeking credentialed child care providers and training and equipment to child care providers. Salem Keizer Together is a youth drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention program. Energy Assistance and Weatherization provide services to low income individuals and families with energy bills and with weatherization of their homes in an effort to reduce energy costs.
